Robin says the feeding tube was a success and they're holding off on the trach so Rick can build up some strength, he may not need it at all as he gets stronger.
This sounds like a Happy Birthday wish not having to have the trach and the feeding tube going so smoothly. That tube is in a better place since Rick's sinuses are a challenge right now.
